Omer – Day 27
Barukh ata Adonay, Eloheynu Melekh ha-olam, asher kid’shanu b’mitzvotav v’zivanu al s’firat haOmer.
Blessed be the Eternal God, Ruler of the universe, who makes us holy through Mitzvot and has commanded us to count the Omer.
Hayom yom esrim ve sheva laOmer shehem shlosha shavuot ve shisha yammim laOmer.
Today is day twenty seven of the Omer, which is three weeks and six days of the Omer.
yesod be netzakh – intimacy within victory; relationship within conquest.
So, I was thinking about victory which is this total “me vs. you” thing, as opposed to intimacy which is this total “me & you” thing, and trying to avoid ending up with pure simple lust. And then I realized that the intimacy within victory was the end of a fight between people who love each other – because the fight between beloveds isn’t over until moth sides win, until intimacy is restored and everyone is understood and loved and feels understood and loved.
Today, I welcome conflict with the people I love as an excellent avenue to relationship growth and intimacy.
