Counting the Omer – Day 3
Barukh ata Adonay, Eloheinu, melekh ha’olam, asher kid’shanu b’mitzvotav v’tzivanu al sfirat ha-omer.
Blessed are You, Adonay our God, ruler of the universe, who makes us holy with mitzvot and gives us this opportunity to count the Omer.
Today is day three of the Omer. Hayom yom shlishi laOmer.
Today is Tiferet be Khesed, beauty within love, truth within kindness.
This one is a simple one. Kind people are beautiful. As for love, it has a transformative ability. It is just magical. It can turn the nastiest, most awful little monster into a sweet, funny, clever kid. Kindness and love turn proud people into friendly ones and closed people into open ones. I know every time I have an issue with someone, the answer is always more love and more kindness. The more I apply, the more beautiful they get and the more beautiful our interactions get. I always have to remember that the way to keep myself successful, happy and even beautiful is to increase the kindness I do.
Today, we practice kindness as a way of polishing up the world and helping it be even more beautiful.
